In Nicaragua there is a team of dedicated Nicaraguans who help make Adelante possible on a day to day basis, and I would like to acknowledge all their hard work.
Katia Ramos
Katia Ramos, 20, has been with Adelante since we first started working here in Leon 3 years ago. She studies Business Administration at the UNAN and is in her third year. Currently she teaches children's English classes at Adelante and teaches English at a local pre-school. After she graduates from the university she plans to own her own business or restaurant and continue teaching children.
Tatiana Quintero
Tatina Quintero, 20, is in her second year in the UNAN in the English degree program, has been studying with Adelante for 1 year. Since finishing her studies with Adelante, she has been teaching English to elementary school students, tutoring with the after school program Carita Feliz and volunteering as a student teacher for the level one classes at Adelante as well as in Telica. Her future goals include working as a Spanish-English translator for a Nicaraguan or International organization.
Martha Aracely Garcia
Martha Garcia, 21 years old is in her third year of accounting at the UCC (Universidad de ciencias comerciales - University of comercial science), has agreed to support Adelante by helping managing the financial side of the organizations day to day operating expenses. She currently also works at another University helping out with the accounting. In the future she'd like to work for a bank of company as an accountant.
