Third Annual Fundraiser provides Adelante with another year!November 21st, 2009 Marked Adelante's third annual fundraiser at the Sole Repair Shop on capital hill. And it was done with style this year. The event featured performances by Vassili and Donna Wild demostrating Zouk, The Johnny Bravo Dance Company and Tango performances from Gregory Phillips and Natasha Maltseva. Also featured was Hand and Heart's Executive Director, Nandie Oosthuizen. Thank you to all who collaborated to ensure its great success! Below is the fundraising video shown the evening of the event. Second Annual Fundraiser Success!On the 23rd November, 2008, the second annual fundraiser for Adelante was held at the Spitfire, Seattle WA. We thank donors for their support and generosity at this event! In the seven months leading up to the event, Adelante provided over 216 hours of afford English classes and over 144 days of class, with demand for classes coming to exceed supply. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Having matched its words with actions, Adelante proudly held its second annual fundraiser. It was a fun night of music, dancing, presentations, and giving. The funds raised will help Adelante to continue its programs in León, and to grow them to benefit even more local residents. Again, we thank our donors for everything that you gave! Kick-Off Fundraiser Success!Bienvenidos amigos! Thanks to all who could attend the kick-off fundraiser event for Adelante! ADELANTE is the newly formed organization devoted to empowering the people of Nicaragua through English education and computer literacy. Our goal for this event is to raise $10,000. This money funds capital improvements of the teaching facility in Leon, Nicaragua. These capital improvements will include one open air English classroom, as well as one completely enclosed air conditioned computer lab classroom. All proceeds will go directly towards this initiative. |
